The Searchologist by Katrina Collier is transforming HR & recruiters into searchologists, offering Social Media Recruitment Training. Since 2009 Chief Searchologist, Katrina Collier, has trained HR & Recruiters in SMEs to global corporates around the world to source their new employees effectively on social media.
I had a lot of fun creating this logo for The Searchologist. Katrina asked me to design a logo that would be able to be instantly recognisable and that could show how The Searchologist is a distinctive and unique brand. She wanted something that could indicate a curious characteristic, a logo that could be Sherlock Holmes-esque without the cliché. So I decided to incorporated a "detective" face inside the main logotype, using the O's as eyes and the L as nose, and a bowtie as main accessory.
What I like the most about this logo is the variations that I created together with the main concept: I designed a series of different logos to use in different situations, such as different eyes positions, different eyes colours, and distinctive accessories.
